Below is a listing of Frequently Asked Questions (click a question to display the answer):
Order Process
What happens when an order is submitted?
Right after a customer submits an order the order is put into our Prelude ADS system. The system treats this order just like an order that is keyed in at the counter. Therefore, the order will print out a pick ticket as long as the customer is not on credit hold and we have at least one of the products ordered in stock.
The branch gets notified of on-line orders by email. You can assign as many people as you like at a branch to receive these emails. One or two people at the branch should take the responsibility to ensure that all orders that come in via email are filled (this is how you should monitor backorder products).
Login Issues
The problem is a Pop-up Blocker. You have two (2) ways to resolve this issue:
Most Pop-up Blockers have the ability to "Trust a Site" option; you should open your Pop-up Blocker's options menu and select "Trust this Site" while on the Ecommerce site
You can also turn off the Pop-up Blocker when you plan to use the Ecommerce site
Caps Lock
My Customer's username and password are in Caps Lock, can we change this setting?
Usernames and Passwords are not case sensitive. So if you are worried about their ability to login it won’t matter.
Faxing an Order with Ecommerce
Sorry, we currently do not have that capability.
Search Keywords
What keywords can I use in the Search tool?
Keywords can be used to make best use out of the search tool. To download a cheat sheet of these keywords, click here...
General Questions
Can we open the instruction field to allow more characters?
We are limited to the size of the instruction field within Prelude. There isn’t anything we can do about this
From the Shopping Cart, is there a way to go back shopping, maybe back to the last page?
This has been requested before. It will be added to the enhancement list.
The requirement for the PO number is a setting in the customer file in Prelude. If that requirement is removed it will not require it on the Ecommerce site.
